In ours come and go from twitter, we've listened some new bands, one of those had an interesting sound in one of their videos, it was Tissue Issue.
Tissue Issue is an alternative rock band from Uppsala, Sweeden
which is arising as one of most representative group of swedish alternative scene. So we decided to put in contact with them and to ask them for this short (but, no less interesting) interview, that they've friendly accepted.
-Thanks for your time guys and we're glad to have you in this short interview for people who listen Apocalipsis Internet Radio in Venezuela and worldwide.
to begin:
- Tell us about your origins and why the name "Tissue Issue"?
Tissue Issue:
- Tissue Issue was a random name that Mattias found in an Urban Dictionary. We couldn’t really decide how to call the band, but we didn’t mind that much either. We had some other suggestions like "Anagram" and "Silversand".

- May you Introduce the Tissue Issue members to our blog visitors?
Tissue Issue:
- Besides his work in Tissue Issue, Axel likes to produce music, to write, to paint and to travel.
Jonathan on the other hand is the one who enjoys beer, sports and an active lifestyle. He is living on the edge and caring about the environment.
Isak is a wild boy who likes to eat dinner with his friends, various outdoor sports and computer games.
The passionate Mattias likes giving tender massage in the sunset to women at the beach and eating fruits while playing the guitar and watching the clouds with a female company tête-a-tête.
While Simon is the organized guy and a very dedicated person who has trained several youth sport teams and has a long list of sports he has practiced.
Apocalipsis IR:
- Are There any other bands whom have any influence in Tissue Issue?
Tissue Issue:
- Of course, everything we listen influences us to a certain degree but some of the bands we think have a greater impact on us are the Seattle Four, Queen, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Black Sabbath and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Apocalipsis IR:
- What are your goals in the close future?
Tissue Issue:
- Write a lot of music, performs concerts with a great audience and perhaps go on a tour abroad.
Apocalipsis IR:
- Have you ever listened any rockband from Venezuela (if your answer is "yes", tell us your opinion about)?
Tissue Issue:
- No, unfortunately we haven't. We do however ask our fans to listen to our music and suggest music we possibly would like. Do you know any great Venezuelan band?, hit us!
Apocalipsis IR:
- We know Sweeden and Venezuela are so far each other, but, If you got the oportunity, would you like perform gigs in Venezuela?
Tissue Issue:
- Absolutely! We have noticed that our South American fans are very supportive and committed. It would be great!
Apocalipsis IR:
- What do you do when you are not working in the band?
Tissue Issue:
- Isak studies hard and the rest of us work part-time. Simon is a substitute teacher and arranges a band school together with Axel. Mattias works as waiter. Jonathan works as a substitute teacher and with students who comes to the University of Uppsala.
But right now we’re sitting in a pub drinking beer!!! (laughing).
Apocalipsis IR:
- What kind of message you try to send in your lyrics?
Tissue Issue:
- We write lyrics about both social criticism and more down-to-earth lyrics about personal impressions and feelings in our everyday life.
Apocalipsis IR:
- What have been your greatest frustration and your greatest satisfaction as band?
Tissue Issue:
- The most satisfied moment is when a concert has been great, when the audience sings along and when fans are dedicated in what we do. Sum that up, and it’s perfect!
The most frustrating moment was when some dude had put a syringe in our door lock haha!(laughing)
Apocalipsis IR:
There are rumors that you are approaching to the release of your debut album, would you like advance to us some info about it?
Tissue Issue:
We do have a lot of music not recorded yet and we are going to the studio quite soon. We'll see what happens, we still have a lot of planning to do but it is possible that we release something in the summer.

- and finally, some words to your fans.....
Tissue Issue:
- It is the most obvious cliché, but it is actually true! If it wouldn't been for you, we wouldn't been here today! Your support is great!
